New Year, Lots of Updates
I didn’t post in 2020 here on Farmcoast Editorial.
WHY?
I didn’t have a garden! There have been some big life changes in the past couple of months which have changed a ton in my life! So let’s get down to it, I don’t know if I’ll keep updating here, but I always thought that I might get back into this.
So I’ll show you in instagram form what I was up to this year…
Reading became a huge part of my life again - what was 20-30 books a year became 100-200 books a year. So that’s where I’ve been!
Which lead me to start a bookstagram account — aka instagram for books!
This was the biggest factor of change in the year. Since the garden was over, and I knew I’d be moving this year it was my escape. Go follow me on there!
Come early 2020, pre-pandemic I flew to Nashville to get a sense whether it could be more of the city I wanted to live in. I felt disconnected to the farmcoast besides loving it, I needed a new start. Nashville became the goal. Then the pandemic came around and that faltered for a bit since I was going to travel there again to find an apartment in March. So that was off the table! Come late April, I thought - I could sit in RI in quarantine or I could sit in Nashville and at least be where I wanted to start post-pandemic life. I even started dating online in the Nashville area and come June moved to the South East from the Northeast. Here’s a bit of that via instagram.
There’s still access to the outdoors here, not a garden just yet, but balcony gardening brought a few cucumbers and cosmos this year, even though I didn’t get to start anything till mid July. Got some great projects in mind this coming year!
And life here is good — my best friend lives in the city, while we can’t socialize indoors, I do get to drop off christmas cookies etc. and I bubbled household’s with my new bf. And hope to utilize his yard a bit for my garden habits.
Moving forward you will see —> NOT just garden stuff, but also reading, life, travel and just plain old lifestyle. Probably a name change since I don’t live near the farmcoast any longer. Honestly I hope to brand this site with my books and other site megsummerfield.com so somehow integrating things a bit better so I always feel like i can update here but don’t HAVE to. That’s it, just an update for now!
xoxo Meg
