Strawberry Rhubarb Bourbon Smash

Ingredients

• Cocktail Shaker
• Ice
• 2 oz Rhubarb Syrup
• 3 oz bourbon
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• 3 chopped strawberries
• 3-4 mint leaves
• 3-4 dashes rhubarb bitters (or another sweet-tangy bitters)

Instructions

To start, clean the strawberries, remove the stem and the core and place in the bottom of your cocktail shaker. Muddle and squish all the juices out of the strawberries. 

Add bourbon, lemon juice, rhubarb syrup to shaker, shake and strain into martini or coupe glass. Add strawberry and light flavored basil as garnish.
